Check whether the existing conveyor can support a side applicator
A side label head needs products to arrive with a consistent lateral datum, pitch and surface height. Lightweight cartons, flexible pouches, round bottles and products with handles may need additional stabilisation or orientation. Define the product sensor, wipe-down method and response when the conveyor stops under the applicator.
Product support
Check whether soft pouches, light cartons, round bottles or handled packs need side belts, top control or orientation.
Stop behaviour
Define what happens to a dispensed label and the product beneath the head when the conveyor pauses or backs up.
